Oral surgery is defined as the branch of dentistry which involves surgical procedures and treatment of the diseases, injuries and deformities of the oral and maxillofacial region.

PERIODONTICS

Periodontics is the special area of dentistry that includes the knowledge and practice of the supporting structures of the teeth. It also includes identification and treatment of diseases related to those structures. A person who practices this specialty area of dentistry is commonly known as a Periodontist.
We offer two treatment options for our patients experiencing periodontal disease or issues related to the gums:

Endodontics

Endodontics is the branch of dentistry that deals with thediagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries of the pulp and associated periradicular conditions. Periradicular refers to the tissue and area surrounding the root of a patient’s tooth.
People mention the procedure “Root Canal” when they are going to the dentist to get Root Canal Therapy (RCT) performed. We perform RCT on patients who are experiencing a toothache, headache or jaw pain that stems from the pulp of the tooth (nerves & blood vessels) being infected.

    ORTHODONTICS

    When teeth are not properly aligned in the mouth, it can cause many issues, including; improper bite, imbalanced wear, crowding, increased chance of interproximal decay (between teeth), and more.
    When dental braces are used to help improve the alignment of the teeth, not only is the appearance of the teeth improved, but there are health benefits as well, which include improving the oral health and function of the patient.

    We offer two treatment options for our patients who are seeking to have their teeth straightened with Orthodontic Braces:

    Dr. Ashandra Batiste

    Born and raised in Missouri City, Texas, Dr. Ashandra Batiste is a Cum Laude graduate of Elkins High School.

    Following high school, Dr. Batiste attended The University of Texas where she obtained top honors from the College of Natural Sciences and a Bachelors of Science degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. During her undergraduate years, she became a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Incorporated, and served on the national board of the Pan-Hellenic Council.

    Dr. Batiste continued her education at Howard University College of Dentistry, where she not only earned a Doctorate in Dental Surgery but also became a finalist for entry into the dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon and graduated with multiple honors as a top graduate of her class.

    Through hard work and dedication, Dr. Batiste is now the proud owner of Elite Dental Wellness in Houston, Texas. She is a standing member of the American Dental Association, Greater Houston Dental Society, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists, International Implant Association, and American Association of Women Dentists.

    When Dr. Batiste is not practicing her passion for cosmetic dentistry she dedicates her time to her children Avery and Logan, as well as encouraging young ladies. She frequently volunteers in the youth ministry at her church and participates in health and wellness programs as often as possible to spread the urgency about the need for oral health care.
